Nick’s life is creative. Spending his days making surfboards, art, clothing, and design, there is rarely any dead time. His art is applied to everything he does. Doodles turn into paintings, which end up on surfboards, then printed on t-shirts.
Recently “Finished” with a 99% BFA in painting, Welles loves to complain about art and academia. His art “Explores the insecurity and obscurity of life and the relations we share with one another”. It's the process of creation, not the finished product. “I would probably just use the same painting over and over again, if I didn’t have any wall space”.
